June 19, 2017 - 1:15 PM - 3:15 PM - Noble and Greenough School, Dedham, MA
Sara Goldsmith Schwartz will present at the 2017 Deans’ Roundtable at Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, MA on June 19th from 1:15 to 3:15 p.m.

Exploring Schools’ Obligations with Employee and Student Boundary Crossings:
“Passing the Trash”

What are the best practices for protecting students, employees and the institution when an employee or student violates boundaries? What does it mean to “pass the trash” or “inherit the trash”? With respect to students, what do you share about disciplinary matters with college and next schools? Which student policies and authorization forms should you implement on campus? With respect to employees, how should reference protocols be updated, for applicants and former employees? In this lively and interactive program, experienced school counsel, Sara Schwartz, will explore tip, traps and practical suggestions for surviving and thriving with respect to student discipline matters and employee references, investigations, discipline and discharge.

About the Deans’ Roundtable

This annual conference strives to “create a forum in the summer where deans can get together to reflect, share stories, collaborate, discuss, and laugh.
