Focusing exclusively on boarding school issues, TABS Annual Conference continues to be THE professional development venue for heads of schools, marketing, admission, academic, residential life, diversity/multiculturalism and campus health professionals and other administrators. Sex and Race: Confronting Complex Challenges On Campus

The boarding school community is ripe with conversations about campus climate concerning sex and race. Drawing from real-world scenarios, experienced school counsel will share current and evolving policies, practices and educational initiatives for students, parents and employees to foster an inclusive and safe campus. Attendees will learn about strategies for both preventing and responding to crises intertwined with issues of sex and race that arise on campus.

Admissions Practices and Inclusion: Making The Right Choices

In this lively and interactive program, experienced school counsel will explore legal mandates, best practices and practical guidance about the increasingly complex world of boarding schools’ admissions policies and practices. Through real-world scenarios, the session will review best practices for interacting with students and applicants who may be disabled, how to manage risks associated with interviews and on-campus visits, documenting the process and delivering the good (or bad) news.
