Brian D. Carlson received his law degree from Harvard Law School, cum laude, and his undergraduate degree from Williams College in Philosophy and Political Science, magna cum laude. Prior to joining the Firm, Brian practiced in the labor and employment departments of major law firms in Boston and New York, counseling businesses in connection with workplace issues and representing employers in litigation, arbitration and agency proceedings.

Brian has advised clients on a wide range of labor and employment matters during his fourteen years of practice, including employment-related agreements, compensation issues, corporate downsizings, issues arising from corporate mergers and acquisitions, union-related matters and compliance with federal and state employment statutes. Brian's experience in the areas of litigation and traditional labor is also extensive, encompassing matters such as discrimination, harassment and contract claims, unfair labor practice charges, labor arbitrations, ERISA lawsuits, disputes arising from non-competition agreements, mediations and appellate briefing and argumentation.

Brian is a member of the bars of Massachusetts and New York. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
