Suzanne W. King is a graduate of University of Connecticut School of Law. She received her undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Hamilton College. Prior to joining the Firm, Suzanne spent fifteen years as in-house Employment Counsel for Wheelabrator Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Waste Management. Wheelabrator owns and/or operates 22 waste-to-energy facilities in 10 states. Prior to her tenure at Wheelabrator, Suzanne was an associate with the Washington, D.C. firm of McKenna & Cuneo where she counseled clients on a wide range of environmental statutes and regulations, conducted environmental audits, and gained extensive experience in Superfund litigation.
Suzanne's experience includes counseling corporate management on a broad range of local and multi-state employment practices, including hiring, terminations, severance agreements, sexual and other harassment claims and investigations, reductions in force, employee health issues, medical leaves, accommodation under the ADA, the FMLA, workers' compensation, health and safety issues, implementing and training managers on investigations of employee and contractor injuries, and state and federal employment law, including employment litigation before the EEOC and MCAD.
Suzanne is a member of the Massachusetts and Connecticut Bars.
