A Shareholder in the Firm, Todd A. Newman is a graduate of Cornell Law School. He received his undergraduate degree from Boston University with magna cum laude honors. Prior to joining the Firm, Todd practiced in the Labor and Employment and Commercial Litigation departments of the Boston law firm Hanify & King, P.C., where he advised clients on workplace matters and provided legal representation in administrative, arbitration, and court proceedings.
Todd's experience includes serving as Attorney-Advisor to the Chair of the Federal Labor Relations Authority, the executive agency overseeing labor-management relations in the federal sector, where he received the Vice Presidential Hammer Award for assisting with the revision of the agency's unfair labor practice regulations. While in Washington, D.C., Todd entered private practice, providing consultation and representation under the Railway Labor Act and related statutes. He authored "A Suggested Approach to Applying the National Mediation Board's Railroad Merger Procedures," 15 The Labor Lawyer 483 (American Bar Association 2000). Todd is a member of the Bars of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He is a member of the Boston and American Bar Associations.
