VAIS Program - Independent School Admissions: Through the Legal Lens

Sara Goldsmith Schwartz and Sarah Fay will present "Independent School Admissions: Through the Legal Lens" for members of the Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS) on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the University of Richmond in Virginia. 

The program will explore legal mandates, best practices and practical guidance about the increasingly complex world of independent schools’ admissions policies and practices. Through real-world scenarios, the program will review tips and traps for admissions applications, policies and guidelines (including non-discrimination, diversity and inclusion goals), financial aid materials, enrollment agreements, interacting with students and applicants who may be disabled, preventing and responding to data breaches, how to manage risks associated with interviews and on-campus visits, and more.
